What's even better than a perfect pout? One that's nourished with antioxidants and smoothed with vitamin c. Odacité have somehow managed to roll all of that into one...

the only eyeshadow that doesn't budge: tarte x aspyn ovard palette (swatches and review)

I hope I'm not the only one out there with weirdly oily eyelids. It's seriously the most annoying this--I'll apply a gorgeous, high-pigment, buttery shadow, like one of the Anastasia Beverly Hills single shadows, and half an hour later, it's completely gone where my eyelids crease.

Well, if you're in the same boat as I am--or even if you're just looking for an everyday warm neutrals palette, keep on reading for my review of the Tarte x Aspyn Ovard palette.

my morning glow-givers from make p:rem, odacité, and by terry

Even as a skincare & beauty blogger, I never used to really understand the point of cleansing and toning in the morning. I think that's because I never saw a huge benefit from it--and I like to see real results from the skincare products I use, invest in, and recommend to you guys.

But in the past couple years, my skin has gone through some pretty big changes (hello, super-late twenties!) and it has become more oily and sensitive, not to mention my struggles with rosacea. These products have become firm staples in my routine because they hydrate, soothe, and give me that glow that I constantly crave.

my weekend away capsule makeup collection + some new bits and bobs

Hello my lovelies! My husband and I just got back from a really relaxing family weekend getaway to the Scottish Borders, and today I'm going to be sharing the sort of capsule makeup collection that I took with me, alongside some new things I picked up at the Harvey Nichols in Edinburgh (aka, my happy place).

my daytime moisturiser duo: purito deep sea water cream and lixir skin universal emulsion

After I finished my Glossier Priming Moisturiser Rich AND went through my Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream, I felt like I was kind of in a moisturiser hole. I didn't know where to go from there. I love my Sunday Riley Tidal as a night cream, but as a daytime option, it's too wet-looking. And as much as I loved my Charlotte Tilbury, I didn't want to fork over the money for another pot--no matter magical it really is. And I didn't find that my Glossier PM Rich was really doing it for me anymore.

But I think I've found a concoction that's really working to hydrate me AND combat my redness!

my top tips for long lasting nail polish

The main reason I love getting my nails done professionally is because of that lovely gel magic that makes the polish not chip for two-three weeks. Through dishwashing, gardening, you name it...it stays put.

But goodness it is EXPENSIVE. So over the years I've figured out a couple of hacks to help your at-home manicure last a little bit longer.

chanel rouge allure ink review: amoureux and expérimenté

I have a long-standing love affair with matte lips. I just think there's something so chic about them. They're the perfect combination of retro and modern, in my opinion.

But it's so hard to find a liquid matte lipstick that isn't a whole heck of a lot of work--and not totally drying and accentuating of chapped lips. Enter: the Chanel Rouge Allure Ink. Today, I'm reviewing the shades Amoureux (light peachy pink) and Expérimenté (wine red).

One of my favourite things about where we live is that there is so much natural beauty around us that we can explore pretty much whenever the weather lets us. This morning my husband and I went on a walk through some of the local fields and farms (not getting in the way of the farmers, of course), and I thought it would be a great opportunity to take some shots of my favourite products that keep me cozy from a brisk country walk to drinking tea on the couch (and watching Queer Eye).

Raise your hand if you've struggled with dry lips. They are often the bane of my existence (which probably shows that my life isn't very hard). Those pesky flakes and cracks get in the way of my long-standing love affair with matte lips, and I just don't like it.

I've therefore embarked on a quest to find the best repairing lip balm available. I was so curious to try the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. I had high hopes that it would perform even better than my beloved Clinique Pep Start Pout Restoring Night Mask. I have been using this since Christmas, so read on to see if it succeeds in soothing my suffering pout...
