another kick-ass, woman-owned brand: unicorn cosmetics + discount code!

Hello lovelies, and happy Friday! Today I've got another amazing woman-owned brand to share with you. The lovely Mel at Unicorn Cosmetics sent me over some of her vegan, cruelty-free brushes to try (with no expectation to write a positive review).

Well, I ended up loving them, and Mel even created a 20% discount code for my readers (non-affiliate, meaning I don't make any money from your purchase)! Read on to find out why I love this brand and what I think you should buy...

Royale Unicorn Brush Set

Mel sent over these GORGEOUS rose gold brushes, and I completely fell in love with them. I want to reiterate that this is not sponsored--I just genuinely love this brand and I love supporting cruelty-free, woman-owned businesses.

The rose gold unicorn horn handles also look lovely on my vanity and bring a touch of luxe whimsy to makeup stand.

These are hands-down the SOFTEST brushes I've ever used. I love the Royale set because it has literally everything you need for both face and eye makeup.

I love the dome-shaped foundation brush for blending in foundation or BB cream. Usually buffing-type brushes irritate my super-sensitive cheeks (thanks, rosacea!) but because these are so soft, they don't irritate my skin at all and help the product to blend out beautifully. This is also great for blending out any cream/stick foundations, like the Fenty Beauty matte skin sticks.

The mini domed version of this is perfect for blending out concealer under the eyes and around the nose, or for working a cream contour into the hollows of the cheeks.

The king-sized fan brush is perfect for a diffuse, natural-looking application of contour powder (right now my favourite is actually a bronzer--the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil).

The eye brushes also multi-task as lip brushes (perfect for the powder lip craze at the moment--I love using the flat one with my Chanel Lip Powder Duo) AND as detailed concealer brushes. I love using the fine detailer brushes to do Lisa Eldridge-style pinpoint concealing.

Discount Code

As I said before, Mel has set up a discount code for my readers. Just enter "coffee20" for 20% off your purchase at https://www.unicorncosmetics.co.uk/. I can also recommend their Beauty Egg, which is an amazing blending sponge and only costs £4--but there will be a post coming on that soon.
