I watched I Covet Thee's most recent makeup tutorial and she mentioned that the Bourjois Satin Edition Liquid Eyeshadows looked a lot like the Glossier Lidstars. I hightailed it to Superdrug to find out.
There are some shades of the Bourjois Satin Edition Liquid Eyeshadows that are almost exact dupes for the Glossier Lidstars, as I will explain with the photos. I find that the Bourjois Satin Edition Liquid Eyeshadows actually out-perform their Glossier sisters in that they a) last longer and b) don't have as big, chunky glitter particles. These are what I had hoped the Glossier Lidstars would be.
I don't have all the shades of the Lidstars or the Bourjois offering (my Superdrug only had 4) , but here's what I've got. Bourjois Satin Edition Liquid Eyeshadows in Mauve Your Body is almost an exact dupe for Glossier Fawn, although as I mentioned, it's less obviously glittery and therefore slightly less silvery-toned.
I don't have the lidstars in Slip or Moon, but the Bourjois Satin Edition Liquid Eyeshadows in Oh de roses! and Beige-seller look like perfect dupes based on the swatches I've seen online. The Bourjois shade Abracada'brown doesn't really have a sister in the Glossier offering, but I've swatched it next to Glossier Herb for reference as it does have a slightly khaki lean to it. I couldn't buy this one, but the Bourjois shade called Surpenez-moi looks like a pretty exact for Glossier Cub.
The swatches in the picture below are, from left to right: Glossier Cub, Bourjois Mauve Your Body, Glossier Fawn, Bourjois Oh de roses!, Beige-seller, and Abracada'brown, and Glossier Herb.
