Alert! Alert! A skincare product that actually works!

Well, let's be real. All of the skincare products that I recommend actually do work, because I'm not trying to shill you stuff that's gonna be a waste of your money. But every so often a product comes along that has me go into major "excited skincare nerd mode"--anyone else been there with me? No? Just me?

I'm talking about the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask. I am a huge fan of k-beauty, so I was instantly drawn in. Plus, this mask has been getting a lot of hype from American/Canadian beauty bloggers who love it for it's moisturising and glow-giving powers.

I had to pick it up in the States (shoutout to my mom!), but now it's available in the UK on Cult Beauty! So let's get down to it, shall we?

How does it perform?

The Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask comes is super chic packaging. I'm starting to think that millennial pink is taking over my life, and honestly, I'm not mad about it. Anyway, when you open it up, you have to mix it up by stirring it with the cute little spoon provided. Stir for one minute to make the mask into a bouncy gel formula. Then apply two spoonfuls of the mask to your face. DON'T apply more than two spoonfuls--otherwise your skin will not absorb it and it will pill up and rub off.

After about ten minutes, this mask dries down to a weird matte texture. This makes it intensely pillow-proof, which is kind of a must-have for a sleeping mask.

Every time I have used this mask, I have woken up with super hydrated (but NOT greasy) skin that looks calm and radiant. Fine lines on my forehead were plumped and almost invisible. I use this mask once a week, which means the AHAs don't irritate my sensitive skin at all.

So what's the verdict?

It's pricey (£40), but it could be a great one to put on your holiday gift wishlist. If you feel like making a skincare splurge purchase, this would be a great investment as it actually works!

Have you guys tried this or any other sleeping masks?
