worth the hype? glossier perfecting skin tint & stretch concealer

glossier perfection skin tint glossier stretch concealer review
One of the most-hyped brands at the moment is Glossier. I have to admit, I was totally drawn in by the hype and have tried almost all of their products. One of my all-time favourites is the Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint.

If you want serious, full-coverage foundation, this is not the product for you. It doesn't offer much coverage; rather, it blurs and evens the skin tone whilst imparting a serious level of glow. I don't think this would work as well on ladies with oily skin, as it leaves a serious dewy sheen on the skin.

There's this perception that Glossier is only for girls who already have perfect skin. As someone with rosacea and a red birthmark, I am here to say that isn't true! I love the effect that the combination of the Skin Tint and the Stretch Concealer give my skin. It's kind of the ultimate no-makeup makeup.

Would I wear this duo on my worst skin day ever when I have a wide-spread breakout? Probably not. But if you've ever suffered with dry, textured skin, like I have, then you'll know the benefits of having a base product that doesn't highlight that dryness and texture. So when my skin is feeling generally dry and stressed, I always turn to the Glossier Skin Tint because I know it will hydrate and blur as well as even out the skin tone, without catching on my dry patches or settling into my pores.

I find the Glossier Stretch Concealer works best when it's applied on top of the Perfecting Skin Tint. I don't love the way it performs on top of other base products, as it becomes sort of dry and powdery. But on top of the Skin Tint, it adds a lovely layer of coverage. Does it knock out my redness completely? No, not by a long shot. But does it even the skin tone and provide natural-looking coverage? Hells yes.

The upshot:

The Perfecting Skin Tint is a yes from me and I will definitely repurchase. I like the Stretch Concealer, but only on top of the Skin Tint. I will experiment with how other concealers perform on the Skin Tint and report back!

Have you tried these products? What are your thoughts?
