chanel rouge allure ink review: amoureux and expérimenté

I have a long-standing love affair with matte lips. I just think there's something so chic about them. They're the perfect combination of retro and modern, in my opinion.

But it's so hard to find a liquid matte lipstick that isn't a whole heck of a lot of work--and not totally drying and accentuating of chapped lips. Enter: the Chanel Rouge Allure Ink. Today, I'm reviewing the shades Amoureux (light peachy pink) and Expérimenté (wine red).

I've been a long-time fan of the Glossier Moisturizing Moon Mask. It's hydrating, soothing, and glow-giving. And just as I was nearing the end of my little blue and white pot of goodness, I received some PR samples from Sukin* in the post. And what should I find but a total dupe for the Glossier Moisturizing Moon Mask. Best of all: it's only £11 and you can pick it up at Boots! It's the Sukin Hydrating Facial Mask.

One of my favourite things about where we live is that there is so much natural beauty around us that we can explore pretty much whenever the weather lets us. This morning my husband and I went on a walk through some of the local fields and farms (not getting in the way of the farmers, of course), and I thought it would be a great opportunity to take some shots of my favourite products that keep me cozy from a brisk country walk to drinking tea on the couch (and watching Queer Eye).

Raise your hand if you've struggled with dry lips. They are often the bane of my existence (which probably shows that my life isn't very hard). Those pesky flakes and cracks get in the way of my long-standing love affair with matte lips, and I just don't like it.

I've therefore embarked on a quest to find the best repairing lip balm available. I was so curious to try the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. I had high hopes that it would perform even better than my beloved Clinique Pep Start Pout Restoring Night Mask. I have been using this since Christmas, so read on to see if it succeeds in soothing my suffering pout...

I'm writing this post on another snowy Scottish morning! I have no idea if the post is going to come today, but our local supermarket was able to get deliveries again this morning, so that's a good thing! This has been my first experience of a snowstorm in a rural community, and I had no i…

the no makeup-makeup bold lip: chanel lip powder duo review

It's no secret that even though I'm a total makeup hoarder, I am also a huge fan of the no makeup-makeup look. I just can't stand when it looks like you have makeup sitting on your skin, you know?

But sometimes, you just feel like adding a chic, editorial punch of colour to your usual …
