So how does it perform?
It has a medium-sized, fluffy brush and it gives the prettiest, flutteriest look to the lashes. You know when you want just really flirty, feathery lashes? That's what this delivers. It gives my ideal type of volume--which for a lot of bloggers translates as "clumpy"; but this mascara just makes it look like you've got loads more lashes than you actually do.
It's not super lengthening, but then again, it doesn't promise length, and in my opinion, the fluttery, feathery effect makes up for the lack of length. It gives a very similar effect to the Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes--but without the instant crumbling/flaking/smudging that I get from the CT mascara.
Any drawbacks?
My main issue with volumising mascaras is that they often flake away and create a black smudging line beneath the eye or where the lashes hit the bottom of the brow bone. This mascara doesn't do that--which is a huge plus. However, by the end of a long day, there will be some flaking happening beneath the eye. The good news is that it's at least the length of a work day + dinner before it gets to that point.
So does it deserve more hype?
Yes! I think the Marc Jacobs O!Mega Lash Volumising Mascara deserves way more hype than it currently receives. If you can get your hands on a sample, give it a try!
Have you guys tried this mascara? What's your favourite volumising formula?
