an oil that knocks back redness: aesop fabulous face oil

Aesop fabulous face oil review
Given my dehydrated skin and my rosacea, I am constantly on the lookout for products that will hydrate and sooth, as well as give a serious kick to the background redness on my cheeks.

I have been using the Aesop Fabulous Face Oil for about two years now, and I have to say, it does all of the above. It's a fabulous choice if you want to reduce redness. The first time I used it, I applied a couple drops of it all over my face before bed. When I woke up the next morning, the redness in my cheeks had been almost completely erased. It was amazing.

I want to stress that this works best on redness that is not caused by rosacea. Rosacea needs prescription treatments to address the underlying issue causing the redness and breakouts. That having been said, this does make a difference to the redness on my cheeks. I think that if you don't suffer from rosacea, but just from generalised, unwanted redness, then this could be a great option for you.

I would point out that in terms of application, this works just as well when added in to the routine 2 times per week as it does when used every night.

One thing to bear in mind is that this oil does have a fairly strong smell of Ylang-Ylang (I personally love that smell so it doesn't bother me). It doesn't have any added fragrance--it's just the fragrance of the natural ingredients. The smell does fade after about 10-15 minutes, however!
