the multi-tasking hero sunscreen: jurlique UV defence lotion SPF 50

As a rosacea sufferer, I rely on using sunscreen on the daily to prevent and manage my flares. But sunscreen is obviously something everyone needs and should use regularly!

My problem with sunscreen lately has been that my old favourites were pilling up under makeup and on top of my other skincare. Read on to find out why the new Jurlique UV Defence Lotion SPF 50 is a new holy grail product that acts as skincare, suncare, AND a makeup primer!

Jurlique UV Defence Lotion SPF 50*

As I mentioned above, my main problem with most sunscreens is the fact that they pill up LOADS under makeup or when you're layering them on top of your million-step skincare routine. And I'm not gonna sacrifice the million-step routine that keeps my skin calm and hydrated (please tell me I'm not the only massively high-maintenance gal out there). And then there's the dreaded white cast that especially affects those with darker skin tones!

I absolutely LOVE this offering from all-natural Jurlique (makers of the cult rosewater mist) for a few reasons:

1) It layers beautifully. No pilling in sight.

2) It blends out from white to colourless so that it doesn't leave a white cast.

3) IT IS A FREAKING EPICALLY GOOD MAKEUP PRIMER. Seriously, I did not expect it to succeed in this arena, but it's amazing. Even it didn't have SPF, I would buy this *just* for its priming abilities. It soothes, moisturises, and smoothes over my dry patches and pores so that makeup looks flawless and dewy on top.

What's your holy grail sunscreen?

  2. How do you protect yourself from the sun when you hike? Describe ... The best protection IMO is to be out so often that you don't have to wear any protection at all:) Reply . ultralight backpacking sunscreen
