Firstly, let me say, I usually run from anything that has "matte" in the title. My dehydrated skin prefers to have more moisturising makeup formulas applied to it, otherwise it creates little dry patches or fine lines that I never knew existed before applying foundation or concealer!

But two things drew me to Rihanna's beauty line. One: the packaging. I can't even. I just love it, and I don't even care if that makes me basic or a millennial or anything like that.

Secondly, the shade range. Guys, it is just so darn inclusive. It has so many shades with so many different undertones. The range includes a total of 40 shades, which is just amazing, especially for those gals and guys with darker skin tones, who are usually totally ignored by most beauty brands (especially drugstore).

I am usually the lightest or second lightest shade in any foundation or concealer, and in the Fenty Beauty Match Stix Matte Skinstick I am the shade Bamboo, which is the #6 shade! Crazy. I love it. I got colour-matched in the shop, which I really recommend since there are so many undertones.

So how does the skin stick perform?

It's basically formulated like a combination of a concealer and a stick foundation. I just swipe it on where I need it and blend it in with my fingers, although it also works really well with a blending brush. And guys...it is so freakin' natural on my skin! I cannot get enough of it. I actually look forward to putting this on because I know I won't have any weird texture or caking issues to deal with. It doesn't cling to dry patches and it doesn't settle into pores, which is a huge issue for me. Also, when I use this (which is every day), I don't have to wear foundation and concealer--I can just get away with wearing this. My favourite way to wear it, however, is to put a light layer of the Dr Jart+ Premium Beauty Balm all over the face and then use this where I need coverage (my cheeks, nose, chin, and birthmark).

Basically, I can't say enough good things about the Fenty Beauty Match Stix Matte Skinstick! I would completely recommend it. It's not too glowy, not too matte...just perfection in a stick.

Have you guys tried anything from Fenty Beauty?
